Batam

Am currently on an almost one and a half month school break since..... well, i can't remember. So i decided to go on a short 3D2N trip last month to Batam with Chanel. Initially, we wanted to go Bangkok cos Chanel have never been there and asked me to show her around. But due to work and some other stuffs, i don't have time for Bangkok and i am not financially doing well too #teenagerwoes 

Heard from so many people that Batam has nothing much to do, a 2D1N is more than sufficient. But geykiang me thought, "Hmm just go for the 3D2N deal lor, since staying at Singapore also got nothing to do" so i decided to just fuck it and just carry on with the 3D2N plan.

Woke up super early that day and daddy drove me to habourfront centre to take the ferry over. Brought Mcbreakfast to dine on ferry. 

Chanel is the first (female) person i know, who doesn't like cam-whoring. So there is no photos of us taken together. The above is me trying to secretly include her in my photos but she saw and hide.

The tour is damn freaking sian. First stop was some touring of the temple, kuih lapis factory (realised i was con-ed after purchasing super ex kuih from them cos other places are selling at almost half the price. oh what to do, tourist life), some place that sells lots of different keropok then was buffet lunch, which suck so bad :(

Last stop of the day was going for a full body massage. Had 2 hours to kill before setting off so we decided to go to the mall "Golden Truly" just opposite the massage place. Asked Chanel to take a photo of me so that i can instagram it and below, is the behind the scene:

Chanel love taking lots of shot cos she say then i will have more choices to choose from. Hmm, not a bad idea huh? Went to their supermarket (my must-do everytime i travel!! plus i looooooove grocery shopping) to buy some toiletries cos we didn't bring any. Stuffs there are cheap! 

Must buy: Indomie, Pads (50cents only!!), Shampoo and body soap

Spent sooooooo much at the mall cos i unexpectedly bought a few clothes. Yes Yes, i know!! I am surprised too! Batam? Shopping? Clothes? No! But yeah i did and clothes there are the same prices as doing shopping at Bugis Street. 

Before leaving the mall, i realised i have not much money left for the trip, so i went to exchange more and bought a mini vodka hahahaha no money already still want to buy vodka. Siao!

Finally, we headed to Harmoni One to drop of our stuff and the hotel is HUGGEEE!!! Went to rest a little before going out for dinner somewhere near our hotel

Cheap and yummy local food!!! Was quite paranoid cos they are still fasting when i was there. Thought it was quite bad for them to cook for me while they haven't had anything the whole day. They must be thinking im sucha an insensitive person. Then i realised, Indonesia is an hour behind Singapore time. LAMEEEEEE -.-

Woke up the next day for breakfast. The spread is surprisingly good!

Walked around to explore the hotel since we have nothing to do then back to hotel room to sleep more cos seriously, we have no idea what to do plus i have only 100k Rupiah left Hahahaha wtf. Texted Heri to ask cos he's an indochinese and all he said was " HAHAHAHAH what the fuck you want to do with 100k?! too little la, just spent everything on indomie k" hahahah thanks ah.

We took a cab (30k each) to Nagoya mall to walk around but theres nothing much to do there. End up catching Pacific Rim at only $3 and ate A&W (damn ex leh). Went to exchange more money again cos i really have no more money left. I am damn sad hahahah. Cabbed back to hotel and ordered room service for dinner.

The above photo is me trying to act like those photo on instagram where they take bubble bathe and have a glass of drink beside. MINE OBVIOUSLY FAILED. HAHAHAHAH DAMN GROSS HAHAHAH. The water was yellow in color!! Damn yucky. I poured more than half the body soap we bought into the bathtub but no foam was formed. HAHAHAHHAHAHA DAMN FUNNY HAHAAHHAHA.

The night ended with us curling on bed, watching tv, using our phone till we drifted off to bed. #life

Next morning:

Went for breakfast very early again. Their food was the same so i had only waffles and pancakes. Head back to hotel room to sleep after and then was packing of stuffs and checking out. 

TIME TO GO HOME.

To sum up the whole trip, i wouldn't say i enjoyed very much. I kinda forget its a muslin country so i wore shorts there which got so much stares cos its inappropriate. Secondly, traffic there is crazy. There seems to be no law that everyone just anyohhowly drive their own way. Heart attack everything the driver just step on the break so suddenly. Lastly, please do listen to advices. 3D2N is reeeeeaaaaalllly too much for Batam HAHAHAHAHAHA. Hmmm, i don't think i will ever go back there unless its a sponsored one.
